Gallery fixed (sort of)

July 14, 2008 — Tony Di Schino (Views: 39)

Well, some security updates were released for my website software (specifically the photo gallery), however, the changes broke the integration of Gallery into the main site, and it doesn’t look like there is going to be a fix released. So i’ve had to put together a work around. Photos are back (see the Photo Gallery link on the left).

I think I broke the photo gallery. :(

The Girls

I’ve added new pictures of Alanna and Cece in each of their own albums, and also added an album for pictures of both of them.

Spring Portraits

Not realizing that getting teeth pulled would be less painful, we gussied the girls up in their easter dresses and hiked on down to Sears for some portraits (Alanna here and Cece here). This is the only one we could get both of them:

Sisters

R.I.P.

March 14, 2007 — Tony Di Schino (Views: 284)

A few days ago, one of my second cousins past away unexpectedly at the age of 50. His name was Gerard Di Schino. I had never met him, and had only really heard of him in passing from my dad. For most of my life I haven’t made it a priority to get to know most of the east coast Di Schino’s. I’ve come in contact with a couple just by nature of having this domain and website, but I haven’t actively sought out making a trek back east. Not for any good reason, mostly just out of lack of motivation, and laziness, and a sense of distance. I’ve always had good intentions about it, but have never made the time to do it. So I ask myself, why not now? Of course, the easy answer is that I’m busy raising 2 girls with my wife, and that it would probably be best put off for a few years (until its not so crazy to travel with young ones). Of course, delaying a few years could have the same effect if another relative passes that I have never had the chance to meet.

From what I can tell, Gerry was a pretty popular guy based upon all of the nice notes people are leaving on his website. I extend my condolences to his family.

Sex is interesting, but it's not totally important. I mean it's not even as important (physically) as excretion. A man can go seventy years without a piece of ass, but he can die in a week without a bowel movement.
